Disorders of metabolism and smoking cesation out-patient department

We deal with the whole spectrum of hematological diseases, especially diagnosis and treatment of severe disorders of hemostasis, ie. bleeding and thrombosis, diagnosis and treatment of various types of anemia and disorders of white blood cells and platelets. We have a highly specialized center for the treatment of hemophilia, von Willebrand disease and other serious congenital and acquired bleeding disorders. We provide a wide range of hematological tests for diagnosis and treatment of many diseases, including the trepanobiopsy and transfusion of blood at our outpatient department. We provide consulting activity for all specialized centers within our hospital.

We do not treat acute leukemias, lymphomas and other hematooncologic diseases. These require treatment at the specialized hematooncology department.

We are focusing on diagnostics and treatment of metabolic disorder in adult patients. The main metabolic disorders of our interest are those that potentiate atherosclerosis development, namely disturbancies of lipid metabolism. We offer consultation and treatment for patients dependent on tobacco.
