Research topics

ICBH is currently focusing in 3 following topics:

  • metabolické changes in patients with end-stage renal disease
  • risk factors of cardiovascular diseases
  • biomarkers of organ damage, especially during oncologic treatment (with emphasis to myocardium and kidney damage), during sports activities and in patients with kidney diseases

We have been participating on solving folloving research projects:

We are educating postgraduate students of biomedicine (PDSB) (pdsb.avcr.cz), study program biochemistry and pathobiochemistry; our institute educates posgraduate students since 2001/02.
